Clinical Pharmacist II - Inpatient Oncology - LBJ Hospital

This role provides an opportunity to apply clinical skills and knowledge in an academic setting to hematology/oncology patients through evidence-based practice as part of an interdisciplinary health care team. Clinical functions include, but are not limited to optimizing patient outcomes through therapy monitoring and clinical practice decision-making related to hematology/oncology pharmacotherapy.
Academic opportunities include precepting students and residents from our PGY1 and PGY2 ASHP accredited residency programs, provider education in collaboration with our Medical School partnerships (Baylor College of Medicine and UTHealth), and pharmacotherapy lectures and training.
Additionally, the hematology/oncology clinical pharmacist participates in protocol and order set development, formulary management, drug utilization reviews, and cost-savings initiatives. In addition, individual will be provided the opportunity to work alongside both staff and management from pharmacy and nursing.
We are seeking an applicant, who promotes medication safety, has an interest in chemotherapy policy development, serves as a resource for hematology/oncology pharmacotherapy and provide clinical consult coverage
