Skills / Requirements

Job Summary
Maintains the CDM and CDM file to ensure accurate charge capture. Conducts pricing updates and makes recommendations based on published schedule (MDR). Communicates with departments the need for change/action as it pertains to charge capture. Completes periodic revenue analysis to identify charge variances. Develops and applies pricing algorithms to ensure pricing is consistent among departments. Works with IT staff to ensure Charge Master information is properly routed to claim forms, ensures items meet regulatory compliance guidelines. Maintains encounter forms. Stays abreast of Medicare and Medicaid coding and reimbursement requirements. Prepares monthly reports to inform Management of any changes in CDM/Charge Master and revenue volume.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees / Work Experience / School Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Heath Information Systems, Business, Health Administration preferred (And) Five (5) Years Work Experience hospital business office experience or CPT-4, HCPCS. Understanding of pricing methodology, CDM and Charge Master Maintenance and 3rd party billing and reimbursement experience preferred.

High School Diploma or GED (And) Nine (9) Years Work Experience hospital business office experience or CPT-4, HCPCS. Understanding of pricing methodology, CDM and Charge Master Maintenance and 3rd party billing and reimbursement experience preferred.

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing /Correspondence, Writing / Reports

Proficiencies: MS Excel, P.C., Typing 40 WPM
