Skills / Requirements

The Patient Care Technician (PCT I) is accountable for supporting nursing and medical staff in patient care. The PCT I coordinates activities in outpatient and procedural areas to facilitate smooth patient flow. The PCT I assists in patient data collection and performs select screenings relevant to area/assignment.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent plus technical skills and/or training appropriate to the specialty area.

Nursing/Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

Vision and Hearing Certification within six (6) months as appropriate to the specialty area.

One (1) year healthcare experience preferred.

Computer and/or Key Entry Experience

Special Requirements:
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/Composing Reports

Bilingual skills preferred

PC, CRT, Medical Terms and Research

Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible and Overtime

Equipment Operated:
Minor medical equipment and computer.
