Job Summary
Provides leadership and corporate accountability to drive strategic alignment, program development, and operational value for the system level business units within the Healthcare Systems Engineering department consisting of: Project Management Office (Planning/Construction Operations, Medical Capital Program), Facility Engineering Operations, and organizational level Physical Environment Management Systems. Develops policies and facilitates Harris Health capital expenditures and Space Management activities; evaluates and makes recommendations to senior leaders for real estate acquisition/lease, development, and sale; oversees and provides guidance for System Incident Command preparedness, and facility Master Planning initiatives. Actively participates as senior executive for all construction/planning actions and ensures designs, budgets, and activities are appropriate and fiscally responsible. This position will create and maintain integrative processes to deliver collaborative support with various organizational, intragovernmental, and contracted agencies to meet the goals and objectives of the Organization and establish executive oversight and leadership for all consolidated program functions to ensure accreditation and regulatory compliance, effective and efficient maintenance and replacement support strategy and for overall program accountability, strategic planning and governance of program and reporting at system level. Provides frequent updates to the executive team, Board of Trustees, and County commissioners on all matters related to construction, real estate and capital planning. Develops and directs department staff in a collaborative and matrixed environment with all pavilion based operational leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees: Masters degree or Professional degree in a related field

Work Experience: Fifteen (15) years of Facilities/Systems engineering; capital construction planning; maintenance and support of major medical equipment technology systems and facility infrastructure programs experience.

Management Experience: Ten (10) years of Senior/Department level management experience.

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Correspondence, Writing /Reports

Proficiencies: MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, Personal Computer
