Job Summary
The Time & Labor (T&L) Monitor is a client facing position that will perform a variety of time administration and payroll impacting activities. This role will prepare time and labor elements for the regular payroll cycle and may make adjustments in the timekeeping software as allowed under policy. The position reports directly to the Time & Labor Manager but may follow the guidance of other T&L staff members.
Assist T&L staff with the bi-weekly timecard close process as business needs demand. Monitors for repeat process failures and formally notifies the T&L Business Partner and/or leadership where further assessment may be needed. Review and compute core calculations. Will learn to isolate and correct frequented errors and may troubleshoot process/system failures within span of control.
Responsible for ensuring timecards are accurate and compliant with organizational policies where information is readily visible and known. The Time & Labor Monitor oversees a high volume of transactional data in a fast-paced environment. Must perform daily continuous monitoring and notify stakeholders of appropriate actions to resolve. Follows-up on outstanding items, at regular intervals, in an effort to resolve prior to pay period close deadlines. May coach stakeholders on standardized day-to-day operational activities leveraging scripted responses and/or other resources for recurring issues. Position may identify opportunities for improvement and inform leadership of any and all compliance concerns.
Performs basic, rote action historical edits without issue. Agrees with entries prior to keying. Informs leadership of any concerns and collects additional support as the situation demands.
Adheres to organizational and departmental record retention procedures at all times. Ensures appropriate signature of authority exists on requests for action.
Directly responsible for working basic support tickets from internal customers. Requires the ability to conduct research and perform calculations, analysis, and data entry to support labor processes. Applies first-touch resolution methodology to minimize escalations and reduce lag time delays in processing efforts. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure tickets are worked within a reasonably accepted time period. Creates transparency for those involved in resolution efforts and encourages stakeholders to take ownership of tasks through training and education.
The successful candidate should have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred

Licensure & Certification: Related Certifications a plus.

Work Experience: Two (2+) Years Work Experience - Able to demonstrate progressive growth. Compile and analyze transactional data to detect or correct errors. Ability to perform calculations and data entry. Kronos Dimensions experience a strong plus, preferred

Communication Skills: Public Speaking, Verbal Communication, Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports

Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Personal Computer, Typing 40+ wpm
