JOB SUMMARY

The Business Manager, Population Health is responsible for coordinating, conducting and managing operational and financial review and continuous improvement to meet Harris Health System strategic objectives. Under executive leadership, this position supports coordination of organizational resources, identifying and directing special projects, developing new and maintaining current business workflows, preparing statistical and narrative reports from financial and operational review and effectively communicates recommendations to the executive leadership team. In conjunction with Harris Health leadership, ensures the efficient planning, execution, and maintenance of strategic programs according to deadlines, budget, and organizational policies and procedures. Manages and/or assists in the management of day-to-day tasks/activities for resources assigned to programs, including ensuring that tasks are completed on time and potential barriers are identified and communicated to appropriate management resources. Works with interdisciplinary, cross-functional teams to achieve goals and objectives described  in defined project plans.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / DEGREES
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field. Emphasis on Healthcare, Finance or Project Management.
Master's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) years experience in healthcare.  Experience to include quality management, clinical case management, project management.
  • One (1) years' experience in a public healthcare environment preferred. 

MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:  

Three years' management experience in project management or supervisory experience in hospital or related healthcare. Experience to include quality mangement, clinical case management, project management, budgeting, data analysis, and other administrative functions.

Knowledge of the strategic direction of the organization from an operational, financial, and clinical perspective.
Knowledge of healthcare business management, healthcare program development, and strategic planning related to healthcare systems.
Knowledge of relevant Federal, State, and local laws and regulations and health care industry trends.
Possesses strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.  Ability to maintain a variety of internal and external contracts.
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities with a high degree of organizational skills. Should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
