Job Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for full-cycle accounting functions related to assigned areas in order to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The position is responsible for analyzing financial data and working closely with key stakeholders to determine proper accounting treatment as well as document variance explanations. The Staff Accountant position is responsible for assisting with recurring accounting activities including but not limited to: general ledger close-out, account analysis and reconciliations, and sub-system reconciliations. The Staff Accountant will also identify and recommend changes in accounting systems and procedures where applicable. This position works independently but will receive guidance and strategic direction from the Financial Accounting team.


Mininum Qualifications
B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible

1 - 2 years of accounting experience; Healthcare experience preferred

Minimum Qualifications
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal: Strong communication skills to work with all levels within the organization writing/correspondence/reporting.

Writing /Composing : Correspondence, Reports.

Proficiencies
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
Strong Excel skills preferred (i.e. pivot tables, etc.)
PeopleSoft experience preferred
