Job Summary

The Supervisor of Biomedical Engineering provides technical expertise, oversees installations, and plays a key role in medical device integration. Supervises all operational aspects of the medical equipment repair program to include operational, performance and fiscal requirements of the assigned Correctional Health facilities. Responsible for the advanced troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance of biomedical equipment within the Correctional Health environment. Identifies and recommends cost of service reduction strategies related to technology assessment, planning, and management activities across Correctional Health sites. . In addition, leads program mobilization and transition activities for Correctional Health biomedical services including initial Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) configuration, equipment inventory validation, service protocol development and coordination with clinical, IT and operational stakeholders to ensure compliance and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees/Work Experience/School Education
Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics or related field (And) Five (5) Years Work Experience (Or) High School Diploma (And) Seven (7) Years Work Experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair

Management Experience:
Two (2) Years of Management Experience in a Biomedical Engineering Supervisory or Lead Tech position with demonstrable leadership activity
