Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)

Harris Health is a community-focused academic healthcare system dedicated to improving the health of those most in need in Harris County through quality care delivery, coordination of care and education. Training the next generations of chaplains is part of our mission! ​ Our ACPE accredited program offers a year-long clinical residency that begins each August. The Spiritual Care Department accepts applications for the CPE Residency starting in March each year. We offer five residency positions with a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits and generous paid time off.

This residency program offers a transformative journey to deepen your skills in spiritual care within a high-acuity, multicultural, patient centered, healthcare environment.

The official program dates are August 24, 2026- August 5, 2027.
