Clinical Quality Informatics Analyst II

Job Summary
The Clinical Quality Informatics Analyst II is responsible for managing the collection, organization and input of complex data and information obtained in the Quality Programs for the district. Responsible creating and maintaining complex, information based, quality intelligence deliverables using multiple internal and external quality database resources. Utilizes Business Intelligence reporting tools to provide analytical insights, data extracts, reports and/or dashboard visualizations to facilitate discovery of new opportunities, support data-informed decision-making for identified challenges as well as develop new and enhance existing metrics to analyze ongoing performance metrics. Demonstrates the primary components of expert clinical information analysis, consultation, education and serves as a resource for data extraction of pertinent quality metrics and other quality initiatives. Monitors and prioritizes the Clinical Quality Analytics report and data consultation requests as a collaborative member of the Clinical Quality Analytics team, enhances patient safety and quality by giving full representation to the needs of the clinical and medical staff. Acts as an expert resource for clinical systems and serves as the liaison between quality management and information systems and provides end-user functional support for quality applications. Supports and mentors Level I analysts with their project work and provides technical guidance with analytic tools being used.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees:
Associate Degree in Nursing (or) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or) Bachelor of Science in Informatics, Health Data or other healthcare related field
Masters Degree; Nursing, Informatics, health data or other healthcare related field preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
Six Sigma Yellow Belt LSSYB or Change leader/RPI training (examples) or accrual within 2 years
Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas preferred
Work Experience:
Six (6) years work experience which includes three (3) experience in Quality/Clinical Regulatory requirements knowledge and understanding and three (3) years experience in Healthcare with clinical experience and relevant experience in an analytical function utilizing Business Intelligence reporting tools, synthesizing data, compiling data into reports, and communication of findings to stakeholders
Management Experience:
Three (3) Years project management experience with the ability to manage own projects from start to completion; Independently conducting meetings with minimal guidance from department leadership
