Director-Ambulatory Services - Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital Outpatient Center

The Director, Ambulatory Care Services (DACS) is accountable for the operational, human resource, quality, and financial management of assigned clinic(s). The DACS reports to the  Administrative Director of Clinical Operations.  The DACS works with the leadership team of each clinic to translate pavilion and department strategic plans and policies into a plan suitable to the unique operational needs.

The DACS is accountable to the operational leader for appropriate operational aspects of the assigned clinic (s). This includes practice management measures, review of operational statements for budgetary oversight, supply usage, equipment needs, and maintenance to optimize patient access and other operational aspects as identified in the attached job addendum.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    

1. Education/Licensure/Specialized Training: 

Master's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or Public Health

2. Work Experience: Five (5) years of ambulatory operations within a large multi-site health care system. Preferably within an academic practice environment..  

3. Management Experience: Five (5) or more years of direct practice management and supervisory experience in a physician practice and/or multi-specialty practice of five (5) or more providers. Management experience in ambulatory care clinic setting is required.   Practice management experience within academic ambulatory clinic setting.
