Job Summary
This individual is passionate about advancing philanthropic priorities and inspiring others to give, serving as an ambassador for Harris Health, cultivating relationships with current donors and prospects while leveraging community engagement to attract new gifts for the benefit of Harris Health. Drives annual fundraising initiatives including fundraising events, in-kind donations, employee giving and various community engagement touch points.

Degrees:
- Bachelors
Licenses & Certification:
- CFRE (Preferred)
Work Experience:
- Seven (7) Years Work Experience: Development experience in a health care non-profit or comparably complex organization preferred including experience with fundraising events and community engagement.
- Three (3) Years of Experience: Generating event fundraising revenue and engaging communities to establish and strengthen high-quality relationships with donors.
Management Experience:
- Five (5) Years of Management Experience: Fundraising leadership and management in a complex organization.

Other Requirements:

- Proven track record of successful event fundraising and community engagement. Requires the ability to work with and motivate a broad spectrum of people ranging from staff and trustees to healthcare partners and donor prospects. Demonstrated track record of leadership in a nonprofit environment, including management skills and experience including but not limited to short and long-term planning, evaluation of fundraising programs, directing and motivating staff, oral and written communication skills. The individual is also expected to have demonstrated experience and confidence in asking people to contribute time and money; Established network in and connectivity to the greater Houston community strongly preferred; Understanding and belief in Harris Health's mission and commitment to the role of a public safety net hospital system in the community.
