Director - Laboratory

JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, directs, and supervises all administrative functions of the Laboratory in regard to services, programs, and evaluations of such programs. Confers with Administration, Medical Director, and Medical Staff to ascertain Harris Health System needs related to Laboratory Services while ensuring activities are in accordance with CAP and JCAHO standards and Harris Health System Administrative policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry and certified Medical Technologist (American Society of Clinical Pathologists, NCA, AMT, AAB). Master's degree in management, Business or Healthcare Administration related program is preferred.
2. Work Experience (Years and Area): Seven years' experience in Core Laboratory including

4. Equipment Operated: PC equipment, Printer, Terminals, Analyzers
