Job Summary
Directs activities of Harris Health's Supply Chain Management Value Analysis to ensure the quality and maximize throughput of the Supply Chain Value Analysis processes, department operations required to support Supply Chain Management functions and contracts. Directs and structures department resources to maximize support for Harris Health System across the enterprise. The Director will assist departments to assess system-wide Supply Chain processes for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in obtain cost reductions and improvements in patient care. The Director will focus on appropriate utilization of supplies and services accomplished through product standardization, price optimization, implementation and monitoring of cost saving initiatives, eliminating waste or redundancies throughout the organization and support organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees:
Bachelor's degree in business, Nursing, or in any Healthcare-related field
Master's Degree in any Healthcare related field or Business Administration preferred
Registered Nurse or clinical degree with history of clinical licensure preferred

Work Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in Management level, proficient in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, & Contract & Sourcing. Experience in working with spreadsheet applications is required.  Experiences in Value Analysis, Cost Savings, Utilization Management and Procurement process are plus factors. Healthcare Supply Chain experience preferred.

Management Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a management role with the ability to manage a department with multiple employees reporting structure. 

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking, Writing / Correspondence, Writing / Reports

Proficiencies: MS Word, P.C.

Other Requirements:
Verbal command of medical terminology required. Travel between Harris Health locations and occasional travel between Harris Health System and other Harris County locations. Occasional out of town travel as approved by the VP of System Operations.
