Job Summary
The Gastroenterology Technician III (GT III) proficiently performs a variety of activities that support the nursing and medical staff of the GI Lab, which includes preparing supplies, equipment, and room for procedures; handling of specimen and cleaning/disinfecting scopes and other equipment according to standards; and troubleshooting equipment appropriately. The GT III demonstrates and role models personal and professional effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
School Education / Work Experience / Degrees:
High School Diploma or equivalent (And) Three (3) Years Work Experience as a gastroenterology technician (And) Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Program or SGNA Advanced Associates Program (OR) or Endoscopy Technician Program (And) Two (2) Years Work Experience as a gastroenterology technician
Licensure & Certification:
Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
Proficiencies: P.C.
