Job Summary:
The Senior Information Security Engineer is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise cybersecurity solutions across network security, threat detection and response, and data protection domains. This role serves as a subject matter expert in one or more security disciplines and plays a critical role in advancing the organization's cybersecurity strategy.
The Senior Engineer leads complex security initiatives, including secure network architecture (e.g., SASE, Zero Trust), SIEM and detection engineering enhancements, and enterprise data protection programs such as Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk Management. This role is responsible for engineering secure solutions, tuning detection capabilities, and ensuring effective integration of security tools across the environment.
In addition, the Senior Engineer provides technical leadership during incident response, supports threat investigations, and partners with cross-functional teams to reduce risk and improve security posture. The role contributes to architectural decisions, mentors junior staff, and ensures compliance with regulatory and healthcare security standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees / Work Experience / School Education/ License & Certifications:
Bachelors of Science in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (And) Five (5) Years Work Experience in information security, cybersecurity engineering, or related technical roles

High School Diploma or GED (And) Nine (9) Years Work Experience in information security, cybersecurity engineering, or related technical roles
Licenses & Certifications:
Relevant advanced or specialty certifications strongly preferred:
SOC / Detection Engineering: SC-
200, AZ-500,CySA+, or equivalent certification

Data Protection / DLP: SC-401 or equivalent Microsoft Purview certification
(Or)
Network Security: CCNA, CCNA
Security, or equivalent certification

GIAC, CISSP
