Materials Systems Analyst II

Position Summary
The Materials Systems Analyst II is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing Supply Chain Management information systems across Harris Health. This role ensures data integrity, system reliability, and effective integration between ERP systems and third'party platforms that support procure'to'pay, inventory, and charging processes. The analyst works closely with Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Clinical teams, and external vendors to support daily operations, project management, system enhancements, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support Supply Chain systems, including PeopleSoft Item Master, vendor contracts, inventory, and procure'to'pay workflows
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of item, vendor, and contract data across integrated systems
- Support system integrations with platforms such as GHX, Pyxis, and related clinical/financial systems
- Perform data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation to support operational and financial decision'making
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, issue resolution, and user acceptance testing
- Collaborate with cross'functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Provide system support, documentation, and end'user training as needed
- Participate in system audits, compliance reviews, and data governance initiatives
- Support troubleshooting of system issues impacting purchasing, inventory, or charging workflows
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's in Business Administration or Healthcare related field. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology or Finance.
Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years experience in clinical product application. Demonstrated medical supply knowledge. Prefer experience in Supply Chain Systems, ERP Systems, Information Technology or Healthcare Supply Chain Operations.
Management Experience: 4 years experience with managing help special projects and coordinating the activities of related committees and subcommittees.

TYPICAL DUTIES
- Leads the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Materials Management Information System (MMIS), providing strategic direction and support to the Materials Management staff.
- Develops and enforces policies and procedures related to MMIS usage, data integrity, and system operations.
- Generates and distributes mandatory operational reports, ensuring timely and accurate data for decision-making.
- Acts as the primary liaison between Materials Management and Harris Health's Information Systems Department to coordinate system updates, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
- Promotes and oversees the effective use of MMIS, ensuring system capabilities are fully leveraged across the organization.
- Trains end users on MMIS functionality, best practices, and updates to ensure consistent and efficient system use.
- Collaborates with Financial Administration and other enterprise system stakeholders to ensure data alignment and integration across platforms.
- Ensures system security and access controls are maintained in compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
- Advocates for continuing education and professional development for departmental personnel to enhance system knowledge and operational effectiveness.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, supporting the strategic goals of the department and Harris Health.
