Project Account Analyst

JOB SUMMARY: The Project Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring all project costs are analyzed, processed and reviewed appropriately in accordance with the governing agreements and Harris Health Systems guidelines. The position will help ensure a high level of integrity and accuracy of data being maintained by working closely with the Project Management team and all contractors in monitoring and controlling total project costs.  This position works under the direction of the Projects Accounting Manager and provides additional support as requested. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:
Associates Degree required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, General Business administration, Finance, Computer Science, Management Information or related field preferred

Work Experience (Years and Area): 3 years experience with accounting and contracts related to project implementation in a Health Care System

Management Experience:  N/A

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Communication Skills: Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing/Composing, Writing/Reports

Proficiencies: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, P.C.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  Analytical, Mathematics, Research, Statistical

Work Schedule: Flexible (Travel between HCHD facilities), Eligible for Telecommute (Full time optional)

Reports to Position:  Manager (Non-Dept Head)

Employees Supervised:  No Supervisory Responsibilities

Equipment Operated:  Personal computer and related peripherals (i.e. Scanner, Printer)
Software:  PeopleSoft or ERPS accounting, Project Management Information Systems
Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with all District business.
