JOB SUMMARY: Assists the PFS Director of Operations in managing, coordinating, and supervising the daily operations of Patient
Financial Services which includes functions such as billing, collections, denials, RA/EOB management, and payment analysis. Directly manages
Supervisors, Patient Account Representatives, Lead Patient Account Representatives, and Sr. A/R Follow Up Specialists whose primary function
is governmental and HMO billing, and follow up. Ensures all billing and collection activities are compliant and meet government and non-
government healthcare guidelines, rules and regulations. Monitors and implements appropriate process changes and policies and procedures to
ensure Revenue Cycle functions are carried out in a timely, accurate, efficient, and customer service oriented manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:Bachelors degree in business, healthcare or related field preferred, or 10 years equivalent work experience. Knowledge of EPIC Business Systems.
2.Work Experience (Years and Area):6-15 years of healthcare experience in Patient Accounting and Billing. Revenue Cycle experience is preferred. Knowledge of patient access or patient billing systems is preferred and the EPIC system is a plus.
3.Management Experience (Years and Area):6 years supervisory / management experience
4Specialized Knowledge or TrainingKnowledge and training in governmental billing and programs such as but not limited to Medicaid, Medicare, and HMO preferred.
5.Equipment Operated and Essential Skills:Personal Computer and Microsoft Office applications
