Job Summary

The Sup Pharmacist ensures safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy operations by leading daily workflows, supervising staff, and upholding regulatory standards. This role champions the mission of Harris Health through collaborative leadership, formulary adherence, and continuous professional development. By delivering high-quality education and overseeing clinical interventions, the Supervisor Pharmacist supports optimal patient care and fosters a culture of excellence in medication management.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees:
Bachelor of Pharmacy Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy
Doctor of Pharmacy Preferred

Licenses & Certifications:
Adv. Cardiac Life SupportAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) required for inpatient positions prior to or within 6 months of employment.
Preferred for All Outpatient
IV Sterile CertificationRequired for all inpatient areas and Fondren Pharmacy
All other Outpatient
Basic Life SupportAmerican Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
Pharmacist Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Pharmacist License; must obtain licensure within 90 days of employment.
Texas Pharmacist Preceptor Certification Preferred

Work Experience:
Two (2) Years Work ExperienceACS positions: Two (2) years of progressive, relevant experience in an OP/Retail setting required (no residency)

IP positions: Two (2) years of progressive, relevant experience in an inpatient hospital setting required (no residency)

Completion of PGY1 ASHP- accredited residency highly preferred
