Job Summary - CORRECTIONAL HEALTH

The Radiology Technician (x-ray technologist or radiographer) is responsible for providing patient care and technical expertise in the operation of all x-ray equipment for diagnostic imaging purposes.

Minimum Qualification

Education:  High School Diploma or GED. 

Licensure:  Must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program; Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; Valid MRT license by Texas Medical Board (TMB) required; Current CPR certification.    .

Communication Skills:  Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/Composing Reports
