Systems Logistics Lead

Job Summary
The System Logistics Team Lead assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day operational activity while ensuring scheduled tasks and projects are completed on time and under budget. The Team Lead provides leadership, guidance and training via direction from Logistics Operations Supervisor and/or Manager. In the absence of Logistics Operations Supervisor, the Logistics Team Lead assumes full responsibility for scheduling, planning and project oversight in support of seamless operations. The System Logistics Team Lead consistently strives to deliver quality performance that meets and exceeds all departmental job standards.
The Team Lead role is an on-shift position, supporting Move Services, Recycling and Cold Chain Management Courier Teams in an effort to successfully fulfill daily System obligations while troubleshooting challenges as they arise. The basic function of this role is to provide front-line oversight for the Logistics Operations Management Team through continuous improvement of processes, best practices, service reliability, customer service excellence, cost savings, safety performance and logistical inefficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma / GED
Licenses & Certification: Valid Texas Driver License, Forklift certification, CDL certified preferred
Work Experience:
Three (3) years of experience as a Courier/Driver
Two (2) years of experience in Material Handler/Warehouse
Two (2) years of experience in Project Oversight preferred
Management Experience: Five (5) years of experience with General Transportation/Logistics
Communication Skills: Writing - Correspondence / Reports
Proficiencies: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PC, Typing 20 WPM
