Job Summary

The VP of Correctional Health Operations is the leader responsible for the overall operations of Correctional Health. As a direct report to the CEO, Correctional Health, the VP directly supervises the full array of ancillary and support services. This position also ensures the delivery of comprehensive, high quality patient-centered medical care, meeting the standards of all regulatory and licensing agencies and carries out all ambulatory care services according to the established policies of Correctional Health and Harris Health, as approved by the Board of Trustees.

Supervises all aspects of operations at Harris County Jail and works collaboratively with Chief Medical Officer for Correctional Health and Administrative Director of Nursing for Correctional Health as the triad leadership team responsible for all aspects of health care delivery at Harris County Jail.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees:
- Master of Business Admin or MPH, MHA or related field

Licenses & Certifications:
- Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) (Preferred)
- Certificate: Other applicable certificates as required by unit/service.

Work Experience:
- Fifteen (15) Years Work Experience: In healthcare operations (Preferably in a Correctional Health environment)

Management Experience
- Ten (10) Years of Management Experience: Progressively responsible leadership experience in a healthcare organization. (Correctional Health operations experience preferred.)

Communication Skills:
- Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
- Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking)
- Writing /Correspondence
- Writing /Reports

Proficiencies:
- MS Excel
