Job Summary
Specialist I (ASI) is an entry-level position to support the coordination and facilitation of the accreditation and regulatory needs. The ASI position is responsible for coordination of all activities necessary to support the functions of the survey readiness oversight committee and Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs Department. The AS I will schedule committee meetings, prepare agenda, meeting minutes and other reports for the meetings, distribute meeting materials and provide administrative support, as needed. The position is required to support the senior Accreditation Specialist with facilitating chapter workgroups and follow up with action items.. The AS I also assists with overall adherence to the hospital accreditation program by coordinating survey activities, conducting environmental rounds, preparing rounding reports, and communicating opportunities for improvement to leaders. The AS I will assist maintaining accreditation database, compliance/rounding applications, and the department SharePoint site. The ASI will support processing invoices including, but not limited to, entering requisitions, managing purchase orders, following up with vendor payments. The ASI will perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees: Bachelors degree preferably in Nursing or allied health preferred
Licenses & Certification: Nursing or Allied Health; Accreditation Certification or Certified Professional Healthcare Quality preferred
Work Experience: One (1) year of Healthcare Experience, Medical Terminology Required; Office Management experience preferred
Communication Skills: Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking), Writing/ Correspondence, Writing/ Reports
Proficiencies: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, PC, Typing
