Diagnostic Medical Radiography Program
Welcome to the Diagnostic Medical Radiography Program at Harris Health's School of Diagnostic Medical Imaging. Our program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), ensuring high standards of education and training.
Students enrolled in our program receive comprehensive training in X-ray imaging techniques, preparing them for a rewarding career in medical imaging. The curriculum covers a range of essential courses including anatomy and physiology, pathology, physics and instrumentation, and imaging techniques. Understanding the structure and function of the human body, recognizing various diseases and conditions, mastering the principles of X-ray production, and learning different imaging techniques are integral parts of our program.
Throughout the program, students participate in clinical rotations at prestigious healthcare facilities including Ben Taub Hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, and Smith Clinic. Ben Taub, one of Houston's three Level I trauma centers, and LBJ, a Level III trauma center, provide students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamics of trauma care.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
Welcome to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at Harris Health's School of Diagnostic Medical Imaging. Our program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), ensuring high standards of education and training.
Students enrolled in our program receive comprehensive training in abdominal and OB-GYN sonography. Our curriculum includes detailed courses covering anatomy and physiology, pathology, physics, and instrumentation, and scanning techniques. Emphasizing practical application, students are required to apply their sonography skills learned in classes and labs to real clinical settings.
Throughout the program, students participate in clinical rotations at prestigious healthcare facilities including Ben Taub Hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, and Smith Clinic. Graduate Fellowship Program in Computed Tomography (CT)
Welcome to Harris Health's Graduate Fellowship Program in Computed Tomography (CT). Our specialized program offers comprehensive education and training beyond the scope of basic medical imaging programs, preparing participants for the demands of this dynamic field.
The core curriculum of our 9-month program encompasses essential knowledge and skills required for competent practice in Computed Tomography. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, allowing students to balance their education with other commitments. Our program begins in September and concludes in May the following year.
Through a blend of didactic instruction and hands-on clinical experience, our fellowship aims to cultivate proficiency in CT procedures, protocols, patient care and safety management, medication reconciliation, and other key responsibilities entrusted to CT Technologists.
