JOB SUMMARY:  Provide strategic and tactical leadership to create a work environment that encourages creative implementation of evidenced-based clinical nutritional care, legendary patient and customer service and a culture of operational excellence that reinforces the mission and vision of the organization. Direct oversight of in/outpatient clinical care, retail and operational areas to ensure the delivery of comprehensive high quality hospital-based medical care that meet and/or exceed the standards of Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS), The Houston Department of Health and Human Services Bureau of Consumer Health Service's, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), the Texas Department of Health (TDH), College of American Pathologist (CAP), the American College of Surgeons (Trauma Center Accreditation), as well as all other relevant accreditation, regulatory agencies and licensure bodies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:  Master's Degree in Nutrition, Business, or Health-related Field. Licensed Dietitian (State of Texas) and Registered Dietitian (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics). 

Work Experience (Years and Area):  Seven (7) years in the Food & Nutrition Services Industry; healthcare provider experience preferred. 

Management Experience (Years and Area):  Five  (5) years Progressive leadership in Food & Nutrition Services, Clinical Leadership and/or Retail Hospitality

Equipment Operated:  Computer

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Communication Skills:  Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking); Writing /Composing: Correspondence / Reports

Other Skills:  Analytical; Mathematics; Medical Terms; Statistical; P.C.; MS Word; MS Excel

Work Schedule:   Flexible

Other Requirements:  Food Service Manager's Certification required within 2 months of hire
