JOB SUMMARY:

The Anesthesia Technician Supervisor (ATS) is responsible for oversight of Anesthesia Technicians to include training; supervising; scheduling; and monitoring and evaluating performance and competency. The ATS also oversees the daily operations in the Anesthesia Department encompassing supply and equipment ordering, inventory management, and product evaluation.

In addition to leadership duties, the ATS proficiently performs Anesthesia Technician functions and provides support to anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists in the acquisition, preparation, application and maintenance of patient equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. The ATS maintains updated knowledge of: specialized equipment and supplies; infection control; and safety policies and procedures. The ATS collaborates and assists with quality initiatives, performance improvement and professional development activities. In this role, the ATS contributes to safe, efficient, and cost-effective anesthesia care.

The ATS promotes a customer-friendly environment by utilizing ServiceFirst behaviors while interacting with patients, families, and staff members.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:


a.Education and Experience: Completion of Anesthesia Technology program approved
by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologist or
Technician (ASATT)

b. Licensure/Certification: Current Anesthesia Technician Certification (Cer. A.T.) or Anesthesia Technologist Certification (Cer. A.T.T.) issued by ASATT; CPR required

2.Experience: Five (5) years experience as Anesthesia Technician with progressive experience
in managing the patient and department workload; advanced clinical knowledge of Anesthesia support

3.Management Experience:One (1) year experience in daily supervisory areas of Anesthesia
support

4.Equipment Operated: Anesthesia gas machines, scope sterilization equipment, critical
airway management equipment, level 1, Teg equipment, gas machine accessory equipment

Bilingual Skills Required. No
Writing /Composing (Correspondence)

2.Other Skills:
Analytical Medical Terms MathematicsPC Typing 35-40_ wpm
