Job Summary - CORRECTIONAL HEALTH
Collaborates with the Nurse Manger to enhance the quality of care, improve staff performance and mentor the nursing staff while supervising the day-to-day activities of the assigned area. Provides leadership to ensure the smooth operation for the area. Enhances the interdisciplinary and interdepartmental relationships within the area, services and hospital or clinic.
Degree: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a BSN or MSN Plan.
Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
Work Experience: 2 years clinical in area of responsibility
Management Experience: Charge nurse or leadership experience in area of responsibility preferred
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing /Composing (Correspondence/ Reports )
Proficiencies: P.C., Word Processing
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical, Mathematics, Medical Terms, Research
Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, Overtime
Equipment Operated: Minor and Major equipment specific to the area
