JOB SUMMARY: The Breast Imaging Manager is responsible for the staff and activities of the Breast Imaging department while functioning within a matrix organizational structure. The Breast Imaging Manager directly reports to the Director of Women's Imaging Services with dotted line responsibility to the physicians and administrators. The Breast Imaging Manager's direct reports include the Breast Imaging Technologists and clerical staff of the division. The Breast Imaging Manager will complete performance evaluations and will participate in the hiring and disciplinary action processes of their staff. Along with the Director of Women's Imaging, the Breast Imaging Manager will have responsibility for the MQSA/FDA certification processes and Quality Improvement processes of the Breast Imaging department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: ARRT Certification, Mammography Certification, Texas State License
2. Work Experience (Years and Area): 5-8 years Mammography clinical; 3-5 years Mammography supervisory

3. Management Experience (Years and Area): 3-5 years Mammography supervisory/management; preferably in an academic environment
4. Equipment Operated: Mammography equipment, PACS, RIS and related clinical equipment

Writing /Composing (Correspondence / Reports )

3. Advanced Education:
Advance Training Specialty: Mammography Certification; Quality Management Certification preferred
Bachelors Degree Major: Preferred; Radiology Sciences, Business and/or Management
