Skills / Requirements

Job Summary
Monitor the Building Automation System (BAS) which controls all mechanical systems including continuous monitoring of AHU control parameters, VAV boxes, equipment scheduling and operations. Analyses BAS control system performance and monitors system for errors and performance improvement. Responsible for the overall status of multiple parameters to keep in compliance with CMS Standards. Monitor OR temp. and humidity, isolation rooms, critical and noncritical environment, chilled water, medical air and vacuum, Air Handlers, Generator annunciators and communicate to management and document. Knowledgeable of procedures to drain and fill back the system. Stay in constant radio communication with field staff to ensure optimum functioning of all systems. Knowledgeable of Life Safety and Fire Suppression components. Document and resolve elevator issues. Issue permits to contractors and maintain a log sheet for signing in and out. Document readings of Heat exchangers, hot water pumps and steam pressure.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: HS Diploma/ GED; Ability to read, write, and comprehend English (job- related instruction).Technical class work preferred. All candidates must be able to pass the skill assessment for this level or above established by the Facilities Engineering Department

Licenses & Certification: Valid Texas Driver license preferred

Work Experience: One (1) year of Building Automated Systems or related building facility experience

Communication Skills: Writing/ Correspondence, Writing/ Reports

Proficiencies: MS Word, Outlook, PC( high proficiency required)
