Job Summary - CORRECTIONAL HEALTH

This position is responsible for taking the lead and making recommendations to the VP of Health Services in the development of a strategy for the most effective use of Community Health Workers with Correctional Health. Be responsible for identifying key services Correctional Health needs to be involved and identification of where the majority of our members could most benefit. Will be responsible for training, management and day to day supervision of the Community Health Workers and be a key member of the Health Services Management Team.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree: Masters in Social Work/LCSW or LMSW-AP

License & Certification:
Case Management Certification preferred
Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.

Work Experience (Years and Area): 5 years work experience, 2 year social work in a managed health care or working with Medicaid/Medicare programs

Management Experience (Years and Area): 2 years management/supervisory experience.

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing /Composing Correspondence, Writing /Composing Reports

Bilingual Skills: Spanish Preferred

Other Skills: Analytical, Medical Terms, P.C., Research, Statistical, Word

Work Schedule: Flexible
