Job Summary
The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist III plays a critical role in supporting invasive cardiovascular procedures by operating advanced imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position is responsible for monitoring patient status, managing radiation safety, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care. The technologist also contributes to performance improvement initiatives, maintains equipment and supplies, and serves as a mentor and resource for staff and students. Through clinical expertise and professional leadership, this role ensures excellence in patient outcomes and procedural efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees:
- Associate of Applied Science: Graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. The accreditation agency must be recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Licenses & Certification
- Basic Life Support: from approved American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Program
- Adv. Cardiac Life Support: from approved American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Program
- Cert Medical Radiologic Tech: (CMRT) by the ARRT
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Cardiac-Interventional Radiography RT (CI) certification, by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Work Experience:
- Two (2) Years Work Experience: interventional/cath lab experience required
- Three (3) Years Work Experience: invasive cardiac experience preferred. Experience with STEMI care
