JOB SUMMARY:   The Clinical Dietitian ll works closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide patient care that is integrated and compatible with the patient focused medical goals and objectives.  Primary responsibilities include application of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) including the completion of the nutrition assessment, determination of the nutrition diagnosis, developing and implementing nutrition intervention(s) and monitoring and evaluating of the patients¿ progress. The Clinical Dietitian ll is also required to actively participate in quality assurance projects and assumes a supervisory/lead role as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:Licensed Dietitian(LD)  (State of Texas) and either Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)

Work Experience (Years and Area):4 years hospital, hospital / community based clinic or extended care facility experience performing as a Clinical Dietitian.  Master's degree may substitute for 1 year work experience, and a specialty certification recognized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) may substitute for 1 year work experience.
