Clinical Dietitian III

The Clinical Dietitian III provides high-level advanced certification nutrition education and medical nutrition therapy to patients, working closely as a leader within the multidisciplinary healthcare team to maximize patients¿ nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes. Primary responsibilities include managing the daily schedule to maximize patient care, and providing evidenced-based and patient-centered nutrition care to patients. Other responsibilities include assisting the manager on quality and performance initiatives, taking the lead on performing projects, presentations, and in-services both within the department and to members of the multidisciplinary team. In addition, training dietitian staff and dietetic interns, and serving as a resource to other dietitian staff.
Bachelors of Dietetics, Food Science or Nutrition required;
Masters of Dietetics, Food Science or Nutrition preferred.
Licenses & Certification:
Registered Dietitian prior to hire
Licensed Dietitian (LD) State of Texas within 60 days of hire
Eligible certifications: Advanced Practitioner Certification in Clinical Nutrition (RDN-AP), Board Certification as a Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR); Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM); Board Certification in Oncology Nutrition (CSO); Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP); Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC); Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) preferred.
Work Experience: Four years experience in Dietetics/Nutrition
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact/Public Speaking);
Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking)
Language Skills: Spanish preferred
Proficiencies: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PC
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Analytical, Mathematics, Medical Terms, Research, Statistical
Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible
