Job Summary
Maintain the integrity of the Master Patient Index. Analyze the daily potential duplicate patient report by reviewing for potential merge completions. Utilizing all applicable computer systems investigates potential duplicate medical records numbers and ensures other data discrepancies are resolved. Assist all departments with answering incoming call/ emails related to potential duplicate numbers. Performs a variety of duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
School Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Licenses & Certifications: RHIT or RHIA preferred
Work Experience: Three (3) years experience in the HIM Department related position.
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
Proficiencies: Personal Computer, Typing
