Job Summary - CORRECTIONAL HEALTH

Director of Operations directs and oversees all operations of the department as directed by Executive Management. Assists with directing, mentoring, and coaching of management and staff and the development of processes, policies, and procedures to ensure department functions are carried out in a timely, accurate, efficient, and customer service-oriented manner. Acts as chairperson of healthcare team. Maintains collaborative relationships with custody leadership; liaison between health services and custody leadership. Maintains knowledge base of current government and non-government healthcare compliance requirements, ensuring Harris Health System remains compliant. Collaborates with Harris Health leadership to ensure efficient processes are in place to support patient care functions and optimal outcomes.


Minimum Qualifications

Degrees / School Education / Work Experience
.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field (Or) High School Diploma or GED (And) Nine (9) Years Work Experience of related equivalent experience

Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare work experience in a correctional or detention setting with at least four (4) of these years in an administrative or supervisory capacity


Management Experience: Four (4) Years of experience

Licenses & Certifications: Related specialty certification (CCHP)

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking), Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports

Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Word, Personal Computer
