Job Summary
The Director of Patient Throughput will achieve optimal patient placement and patient throughput through the direction of bed management and patient transportation. This leader will have professional interactions with the Hospital Supervisors, Emergency department and unit-based nursing and physician staff, nursing leadership, case managers, social workers and other ancillary support departments. The Director of Patient Throughput will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing Throughput management throughout the hospital, and providing leadership for strategic initiatives and resources associated with patient progression and placement.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration. Masters degree preferred

Work Experience:
Seven (7) years related administrative experience in a large health care setting.

Management Experience:
Five (5) or more years in a health care managerial role preferred.

Communication Skills:
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract), Writing /Correspondence, Writing / Reports

Proficiencies: MS Word, MS Excel, P.C
