JOB SUMMARY: 

The Director of Security and Parking Services will have responsibility for oversight of the Security and Parking department to include, Financial, Operational, and Strategic management.  Develops and implements cost of service and uses reduction strategies related to technology assessment, planning and management activities for Harris Health; provides direct oversight and guidance to the Ben Taub and Quentin Mease Security and Parking operation and evaluates, recommends, and oversees provides recommendations to administrators and executive staff on computer based modalities for access control, alarm, and camera systems ultizing IP based solutions.  Serves as an internal consultant to the organization.  Develops process improvement strategies for lifecycle accountability and management of protecton assets and maintenance of security and parking controls and security and parking electronic records systems used at Ben Taub.  Directs all aspects of the security and parking programs.   Responsible for planning, staffing, and effective and efficient utilization of  resources to safeguard and better serve the patient satisfaction of services rendered.  Acts as the Ben Taub liaison with all external law enforcement agencies, Baylor parking & Security and the TMC parking and Security.  Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations for Ben Taub.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with five (5) years Security Management experience in a large hospital facility; OR High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years Security Management experience in a large hospital facility.


Work Experience (Years and Area): Five (5) years Security Management experience in a large hospital facility; OR ten (10) years Security         Management experience if Bachelor's Degree is not held.


Management Experience (Years and Area): As included above.
