Job Description

Skills / Requirements
Job Summary
In addition to being responsible for patrolling and securing of all Harris County Hospital District's building, grounds and parking areas, supervises all operations affecting Security Officers/Guards, Guest Relations Rep., Access Control, Parking Services, Investigations, and Personnel training.
Provides position assignments, reviews reports for accuracy, and mentors and assists with the development of assigned security team. Reviews reports for accuracy and leads investigations when follow-up is required. Responsible for the continued education and training of veteran personnel, as well as, the initial training of new personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
School Education: High School Graduate
License & Certifications:
- Valid Texas Drivers License
- IAHSS Supervisor Training must be completed within six months of employment
- Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA) certification or equivalent certification required within six months. If certification other than SAMA is held at the time of hire, must be recertified as SAMA upon expiration of held certification.
- Must be Registered by the Texas Private Security Bureau within 90 days of employment
Work Experience: Four (4) years work experience in security, criminal justice, military, healthcare, or related experience; or a combination of the above
Management Experience: Two (2) years of Progressive lead/supervisory experience in security, criminal justice, or military
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
Writing/ Correspondence, Writing/ Reports
Proficiencies: P.C.

Other Requirements: E-1 availability during disaster situations. Must be able to understand the English language and communicate it effectively in both verbal and written form. Proficiency in the use of computers is required.
Equipment Operated: PC based electronic access control, CCTV, and parking systems. Handheld Radio systems. Patrol vehicle.
