Skills / Requirements

JOB SUMMARY: The Supervisor will lead a team of transporters/dispatchers ensuring that all transportation needs of the patients and units are being met in a safe and timely manner.  The Supervisor is responsible for all reports, statistics, logs and other paperwork related to their job function.  The Supervisor will be responsible for all training of all personnel within department.  The Supervisor is required to transport and dispatch when the demand for transports is high.  The Supervisor will assist Manager/Director with oversight of operational issues that arise and will work closely with unit personnel to resolve these issues immediately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Associates Degree or equivalent preferred

Work Experience (Years and Area): 2 year healthcare experience preferred

Management Experience (Years and Area): 1 year Supervisory/Management Experience

Equipment Operated: Stretcher, Wheelchair , Hospital Bed, Radio, Base Station, Oxygen Tanks 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:   

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Composing: Correspondence, Reports

Bilingual Skills Preferred- Spanish

Other Skills: Typing wpm 25, P.C., MS Word, MS Excel

Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible , Overtime

Other Requirements: Will rotate holiday and weekend coverage with other supervisor.
