Skills / Requirements
JOB SUMMARY: Maintain systematic control of health information records throughout the record life
cycle. Establish and maintain departmental record management policies, practices and
communication in accordance with Harris Health System policy and retention
schedule. Must combine knowledge of current information management practices and
Texas records management laws and rules to local government officials, to establish and
implement effective information management practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelors degree in Health Information Managment or business management
2. Work Experience (Years and Area): 1-2 years experience working with Records Management
3. Management Experience (Years and Area):
4. Equipment Operated: Computer literate (records management database)
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Communication Skills:
Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)
Bilingual Skills Required: Yes
Writing /Composing (Correspondence/Reports)
2. Other Skills:
Analytical CRT Mathematics
Medical Terms P.C. Typing- wpm 50 Word Proc
3. Other Requirements: Customer service and detail oriented. Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
