Skills / Requirements

Job Summary
Assists the Sr. HIM Manager with supervising the daily operations of the Health Information Management Department. Supervises staff, processes, policies, and procedures to ensure Health Information Management functions are carried out in a timely, accurate, efficient, and customer service-oriented manner. Supervise activities in the Health Information Management department that includes, maintaining the integrity of the master patient index, scanning and uploading clinical documents, analyzing discharged medical records for completion, processing medical record request and record retention.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees: Associates Degree in health-related field required.

Work Experience: Five (5) years experience in Health Information Management.

Management Experience: Leadership experience in healthcare setting preferred but not required.

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing / Correspondence, Writing / Reports

Proficiencies: P.C., Typing_45 WPM, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
