Job Summary

The M/WBE Project Monitor is a member of Contractor Diversity team at the Harris Health System's Contractor Diversity division. The Contractor Diversity Program ensures Harris Health System's contracts fairly benefit and include minority- and women-owned businesses. The M/WBE Project Monitor is responsible for the daily operations of contracts overseeing progress of sub-awards and payments to M/WBEs while optimizing inclusive procurement practices under the Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) program.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees:
a) Diploma / GED
b) Bachelors: Public Administration, Business Administration, Compliance, Education or other related field. (Preferred)

License & Certification:
Valid Driver's License, State of Texas

Work Experience:
a) 1 Year of Experience: Contract compliance & Public Speaking (Preferred)
b) 5 Years of Experience: Contract Administration

Communication Skills:
a) Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact): Daily phone, email, and in-person communication with internal and external stakeholders.
b) Writing/ Correspondence: Written recommendations related to policy decisions (i.e. M/WBE substitutions or prompt pay inquiries)
c) Writing/Reports: Written recommendations related to contractor performance and good faith efforts.
d) Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking): In-person and virtual presentations and training for groups 5 - 50

Language: Bilingual Skills (preferred)

Proficiencies:
a) MS Word: Intermediate
b) Personal Computer: Intermediate
c) MS Excel: Intermediate
d) MS PowerPoint: Intermediate

- Ability to self-start and assume ownership in setting goals.
- Read/comprehend legal contracts and regulatory materials, write/summarize complex compliance matters and create/adapt forms and other program materials.

- Requires strong knowledge using various types of office-related and design software. - Able to interact effectively with a diverse group of employees as part planning
f) Other: Utilize exceptional time management skills, effectively prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
