The clinical nutrition manager oversees the clinical dietitian department for his/her respected work area, working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare leadership team to maximize patients’ nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes in a cost-effective manner. Primary responsibilities include staff supervision and development, guideline writing, implementation of quality assurance and performance improvement projects, monitoring of departmental performance, and reporting departmental progress to his/her leadership team. Additional responsibilities include working with the leadership team to achieve pavilion and system-wide goals, and overseeing the training of the next generation of dietetics professionals.
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor‘s Degree in Dietetics, Food Science or Nutrition. Licensed Dietitian (LD) (State of Texas), Registered Dietitian (RD).
Work Experience (Years and Area): 4 yrs of clinical dietary experience.
Management Experience (Years and Area):1 yr. in a Lead, Supervisory or Management role in health care facility or 6months and a certificate of completion in a management training course.

Communication Skills:Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)
Writing /Composing: Correspondence, Reports .

Advance Training-Specialty: Dietetic Internship
