JOB SUMMARY:
The Epic Affiliate Services Manager manages new application development and delivery, upgrades, enhancements, on-going maintenance and support of the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) application modules used by affiliate healthcare partners in the community. The Affiliate Services Manager facilitates planning, prioritization, problem solving, scope and technical discussions with affiliate leadership and clinicians, as well as with Harris Health IT leadership and application teams. He/she ensures authorized projects and initiatives are implemented on schedule and within budget, satisfy Harris Health Compliance requirements, and comply with Harris Health's Epic design guidelines and strategies. The Affiliate Services Manager provides leadership and develops direct reports. He/she also serves as a subject matter expert in multiple Epic applications that support affiliate-related functions. He/she provides high-level input on product design and optimization, gathering and implementing user requirements, and monitoring processes and performance. The Affiliate Services Manager must be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks and working with a diverse user community. The Affiliate Services Manager provides outstanding client service, supports community healthcare relationships, and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.
Job Duties:
Oversee the implementation of Epic within Community Connect setting.
Identify risks and challenges associated with implementation and develop a mitigation plan to ensure project success.
Provide leadership and guidance to internal teams and external partners to ensure successful deployment, integration and optimization of Epic solutions.
Implement quality assurance processes to monitor the performance, maintain data integrity and system functionality.
Foster collaboration and communication among internal teams, community connect partners and stakeholders that are part of the Harris Health Community Connect program.
Engage stakeholders such as, executive leadership, IT leadership, clinical and operational leadership to gather feedback on implementation and optimize efforts.
Identify areas for improving and implement strategies to enhance the Community Connect program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's Degree, OR eight (8) years directly related work experience in lieu of degree.
Work Experience: Ten (10) years IT Project Mgmt. experience in a healthcare environment a minimum of five (5) years experience with EMR/EHR Systems.
Management Experience: Three (3) years project management/team lead experience.

Advanced Education:
Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science or related field preferred.

Knowledge\Skills\Abilities:
Knowledge of EMR systems (EPIC preferred); familiar with Agile project methodology and practices; experience in Ambulatory EMR/HE implementations; deep understanding of the EMR/HER design discipline, processes, concepts and best practices; strong EMR/EHR design and modeling capabilities.
Typical duties that may be performed
1. Manages a team of Epic analysts for day-to-day application support and, as required, participate in strategic project tasks.
2. Able to manage organizational priorities.
3. Ensures assigned projects are completed on time and within budget guidelines.
4. Assist in development and maintenance of policies, standards, and procedures to support to organization.
5. Develops and maintains procedures in support of all Affiliate Services applications; follow ITIL methodology as instituted at Harris Health.
6. Ensures system health and stability by leading maintenance efforts such as regulatory updates or patches.
7. Participates in audits; lead semi-annual security audit.
8. Maintains all application documentation; this includes but is not limited to: Security Matrix, Clinical/Business Transactions, Workflow Documentation, Quick Reference Guides, etc.
9. Reports activity and status to upper management.
10. Provide follow up or status on outstanding issues and requests.
11. Maintains system KPIs and Metrics; produce KPI reports and metrics analysis as required by direct management.
12. Handles multiple activities simultaneously, must be able to prioritize effectively, and meet overlapping deadlines. Know when to delegate.
13. Acts as a liaison between Affiliate Services and IT in resolving application/software issues.
14. Escalates issues appropriately and expeditiously to appropriate individuals.
15. Supports management by reviewing ahead of time system resources, monitoring interfaces or process scheduler jobs to ensure critical tasks and key resources are ready and functioning.
16. Works harmoniously & professionally with all members of Service Desk staff, the end user community, EpicCare Ambulatory support personnel, and the Harris Health management infrastructure.
17. Provide direct management and oversight of the Affiliate Services Team members
18. Provide leadership, direction and growth opportunities for assigned staff.
