JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Volunteer Resources provides management, leadership, and program development for the volunteer program at their assigned pavilion. Manager works with staff to identify services that can be provided or needs that can be met utilizing volunteer resources. The Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, placing, coordinating, evaluating and supervising the volunteers assigned to their program/pavilion. This role is an integral part of the Volunteer Services management team and will be instrumental in supporting One Harris Health throughout the department. The position will primarily be responsible for the recruitment, selection, placement, maintenance and separation of and ongoing communication with volunteers for all new and existing Patient and Family Advisory Councils throughout the system. Will include oversight and coordination of agendas, meetings, topics, events where council members meet with leaders. Identify speakers, relevant topics in order to support patient and family voices being heard throughout the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's Degree, Volunteer Management Experience or equivalent experience preferred.
Work Experience: 3+ years in volunteer services management/coordination
Management Experience: 2+ years supervisory experience
Equipment Operated: PC, multi-line phones, fax (basic office equip)

Communication Skills:
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)
Bilingual Skills Required: No Languages: Spanish preferred
Writing /Composing (Correspondence/Reports)
Other Skills:
P.C., MS Word, MS Excel
Advanced Education:
Advance Training/Specialty: CAVS or CVA certification on volunteer management preferred.
Work Schedule: Flexible-Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Other Requirements: Healthcare experience preferred.
