Job Summary
The Lead Medical Technologist assists supervisor with review, organization and maintenance of the technical activities of the Laboratory. The Lead Medical Technologist provides input into development of policies and procedures, participates in the development of new technical procedures, provides feedback on personnel to supervisor to assist with evaluations and ensures laboratory personnel maintain current knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment operation.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree: Bachelors degree in medical technology/medical lab science, or chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited institution

Licensure & Certification:
Certification by ASCP, NCA, ABB, or AMT: MT, MLS, or MLT

Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience in applicable lab section (chemistry, hematology, blood bank, microbiology, molecular or flow cytometry).

Communication Skills: Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports

Proficiencies: MS Word, MS Outlook, PC,

Other Requirements: Medical Tech. Certified or clinical certification by ASCP or NCA
