Job Summary
The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in his/her assigned clinical area; recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
Licensure/Certification:
Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas
Basic Life Support from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program
Other certificates as required by unit/service.
Work Experience: One (1) year full time RN experience or completion of GN Program
Language Skills: Bilingual Skills Preferred

Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)
Writing /Composing (Correspondence/Reports)
Proficiencies: P.C.
