Community Health Choice, Inc. (Community) is a non-profit managed care organization (MCO), licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance. Through its network of more than 10,000 providers and 94 hospitals, Community serves over 400,000 Members with the following programs:
* Medicaid State of Texas Access Reform (STAR) program for low-income children and pregnant women
* Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for the children of low-income parents, which includes CHIP Perinatal benefits for unborn children of pregnant women who do not qualify for Medicaid STAR
* Health Insurance Marketplace Plans that offer individual health coverage that includes preventive care, emergency services, prescription drugs, and hospitalization available to all, regardless of pre-existing conditions.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Community Outreach & Engagement Partner is responsible for leading activities to achieve membership/enrollment goals in all product lines offered by Community Health Choice through various means, including, but not limited to working with community stakeholders and external partners to implement Communitys market engagement and partner strategy as well as executing community events and selling our health insurance products. They will also work closely with other areas to develop and sustain strong relationships with community partners, building and executing community events focused on generating leads that turn into prospective members. Additional responsibilities include designing, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of community campaigns and prepare detailed reports of projects results and contributing to educational campaigns targeting healthcare providers, members and prospects, while adhering to all federal and state regulations and Community marketing policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelors Degree preferred or experience in lieu of degree
- Two-plus (2+) years of outside sales and marketing experience required.
- Five (5) years managed care experience; Knowledge of Medicaid, CHIP, STAR+PLUS, and Dual Special Needs Plan products required. Prefer experience working in a volunteer or paid capacity with underserved communities with added knowledge of Social Determinates of Health a plus.
- 3 years proven project management experience.
- 3 years-experience coordinating / organizing outreach events and trainings, partnership building, networking with agencies and organizations, and community outreach as well as demonstrated experience in strategic communications planning, health promotion, public health, social marketing, and information dissemination. Experience developing informational materials and presentations is required.
- Ability to public speak and present our mission with confidence and professionalism.
- Software Operated: Must be computer literate. Microsoft Word ,Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

- Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact) Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking) Writing /Composing (Correspondence / Reports )
- Other Skills: MS Word, MS Excel
- Advanced Education: Bachelors Degree preferred
- Work Schedule: Weekends
- Other Requirements: Must obtain Group Insurance License within 90 days of employment. Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities. High degree of independent decision making and creative problem solving capability. Strong negotiation skills and customer focused. Spanish preferred. Experience in data gathering, interpretation, and evaluation. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills. Knowledge and experience using social media tools for information dissemination.
