Skills / Requirements

JOB SUMMARY: Leads Life Safety Management activities for the system. Monitors and ensures compliance with all required codes and standards related to Life Safety of the physical environment at all Harris Health locations. Coordinates organizational efforts in the creation, inspection and maintenance of Life Safety drawings, validating that they are accurate and current with respect to use and related State, Federal, and design standards and codes. Manages Life Safety and related policies including Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), Pre- Construction Risk Assessment, Above Ceiling Access and others to insure code compliance. Serves as a core member of the System Physical Environment Committee. Leads and participates in a collaborative team environment to achieve best possible outcomes. Demonstrates a high quality work ethic by exhibiting professional attitude, honesty and integrity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Degrees
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architectural, and/or Engineering or equivalent

Licenses & Certification
Registered professional engineer or architect, Fire Protection Engineer preferred.

Work Experience
10 years in Healthcare-Design/Construction & Construction Administration or Fire Protection

Management Experience
5 years in Architectural and Engineering

Communication Skills
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing/Composing, Correspondence/Reports

Proficiencies
MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, P.C.
